  • November, 2004  Finish building house and move in
  • Start researching adoption agencies
  • April, 2005 Attend America World Adoption Agency (AWAA) Seminar in Camano Island
  • May, 2005 Sign on with AWAA and begin adoption process
  • June, 2005 Tell immediate family of our decision, start paperwork
  • June/July, 2005 Dr. appts., Homestudy, fingerprints, etc.
  • August, 2005  Rec’d USCIS approval, state certifications
  • September, 2005  Document authentication, DTC (documents to China)
  • October 24, 2005  LID (date documents were logged-in to the CCAA)
  • November, 2005  The wait begins . . .

  • March 5, 2007 Referral Call Received 10:00 am Baby Girl D.O.B. Aug 2 2006
  • March 6, 2007 Received Fedex package. 3 photos and paperwork
  • April 9, 2007 Received Travel Dates: Leave May 3 return May 18
