This weekend we were privileged to have fellow AWAA (our adoption agency) friends visit us. Miah took to LeighAnna immediately, despite the two year age gap. It was fun to watch them interact. Miah was sad watching them leave on Sunday.

February 14th was a milestone in the Davis household. It was the 9 month and six day anniversary of Gotcha Day. You see, Miah was 9 months and six days old when we got her in China. So now we have had Miah longer than she was with her Chinese foster family. That’s reason to celebrate.
Then

And now

Reclining with her new Buddy
“Monkey, meet Monkey.”
Who needs blocks?
Miah is always pulling chairs over to the counter to “help cook”.
Did the flour taste good, Miah?
We’ve taken Miah to see a couple of her cousins’ basketball games. During the first game she was more interested in playing with her cousin, Kian. She just loves babies.
Here she is with Yajaira after the game. Yajaira and Katie go to different schools, and they had to guard each other! So we cheered for both teams.
Nice shot, Katie! Yeah!!!

Miah loves to clap and cheer.

“Our team won, Grandma!”

With 5 different Baby Showers this month, I’ve been busy making “taggie” security blankets. Since we’re now a one income household, using sewing scraps instead of making new purchases helps the tight budget. And I enjoy being creative.
Here are some of them.

Here’s Miah helping Daddy clean the drive after washing the cars.
