True Missionaries

This week we were privileged to have the Shanks visit us as they were passing through Washington.  Greg is Warren’s friend from high school, and he and his wife are serving as Missionary Doctors in Cameroon, Africa with their daughter.   You can read about their experiences on their MISSIONDOCS website, (also under our list of links).  I greatly admire them for their dedication and willingness to follow God’s leading.

Miah takes her time in warming up to new people.  Today she decided that Sarah was her best buddy, and was very sad to see them leave.

We did the tourist stops today and visited Rocky Reach Dam, where we get our electricity.  Miah is sitting in front of a model of the fish bypass tunnel.

Summer Fun

One of our favorite playgrounds to visit is at Rocky Reach Dam.  Miah is sitting in front of a flag made of flowers.  Last week (above), and last year (below).
